An Easy Transition to Your New Checking Account in Just 5 Steps

We understand that switching your checking account from one financial institution to another can sometimes be inconvenient and time consuming. But we’ve taken the guess work out of what you need to do to get started and we’ve put together a few simple steps that will help you easily transition from one checking account to another. Soon, you’ll be enjoying the convenience of your new PPL GOLD Checking account.

1.      Open a PPL GOLD Checking Account.
You can open your new checking account by clicking here. Once you’ve opened your PPL GOLD Checking account we’ll send you a welcome letter, and your new checks, VISA debit card and PIN mailer will soon follow.

2.      Stop using your old checking account.
Once you’ve received your checks, VISA debit card and PIN mailer for your PPL GOLD Checking account, you can stop using your old checking account.

3.      Add Direct Deposit to your PPL GOLD Checking Account.
Take advantage of the security and convenience of payroll direct deposit. Print a Direct Deposit Form and take the completed form to your employer’s payroll department.  Your payroll department will advise you of any additional forms that are required for direct deposit.

4.      Change your Automatic Payments to your PPL GOLD Checking Account.
Remember to provide your PPL GOLD Checking Account information to any company that you are paying through automatic payment and/or withdrawal.  PPL GOLD offers several ways to make payments including BillPay, VISA Debit Card and writing paper checks.

5.      Close your old checking account.
You can close your old checking account when:
           ·         All checks and automatic payments have cleared from your old account
           ·         Any direct deposits are being made to your new PPL GOLD Checking account; and
           ·         Any automatic payments are being made from your PPL GOLD Checking account 
              and/or PPL GOLD VISA Debit Card.
